Mrs QP just think of it like this!
You'll be wanting to do all three after the Sept trip. Just saving you ther worries early on, so you'll know we have a plan for next year.
You are planning on going with me aren't you?
I bet several here can vouch for me too. Ely and Grand Maris have some very nice stores.
Ok back to it. Trying to remain focused
Day 2
After the first day I'll take a small break and start late as today the route is a short one for the most part.
Heading north on McIntyre Lake to the narrows. Might even wet a line up in there as McIntyre is a good Walleye and Laker lake.
From there WE will take the 112 rods portage to Paulene. Skating the north shore for reasons called Large Mouth Bass we will head to the easy 33 rods into the Unnamed Lake that joins Burt and Darky River.
the last time here (in 1997) we took a peek at the faded Indian Paintings. We will look again to compare 2 facts.
1. Are they faded any more than they were 8 years ago?
2. Are the fish still in those narrows?
From there we will hit a little bit of new territory. Heading to Suzanette. A couple portage one a 24 and a 40 rod and were on Suzanette. If the fish are slow bitters then we should be there by noon. If they are biting really good who knows?
Planning to camp on Suzanette this eve in the far north west area. There is a reason anyone know?
So what will tomorrow hold? Anyone going to take a stab at this? I hear the walleyes just about jump in the boat on Conmee and Poohbah. Hmm! Poohbah!
Brent is a great smallie lake been there a few times. I guess it will depend on how well the fish bite on day 2.
Five more days and I'll checking out the damage at the Pines Island on Pickerel Lake.
Today we traveled:
5 Lakes/Creeks
4 portages totaling 209 rods (easy day)
Trip Totals so far
14 Lakes/Creek/Rivers
13 portages total rods 771
