You've been and returned by now, but one thing we usually do, if it's warm enough, is slide down the waterslide on one of the Nina Moose River portages - I think maybe the second portage north of the trailhead.
We used to always stop at the spring at one of the portages too, but it got screwed up a couple of years ago when beaver dammed over it.

We used to rice Little Indian Sioux - just above the Little Trout Lake Portage. Back then we lived next to the Bois Forte Band burial grounds on Wake-em-up Bay in Lake Vermillion. We'd go in Trout Lake and over to Little Trout and out to Little Indian Sioux River. It was always socked in with rice and little or no traffic through there. I've never riced on Nina Moose. Too many people going through.
