I am one who on my trips I like to cross over old areas I've traveled on before. Not sure if it's the feeling I get like being back home or just the security of knowing I know just where I am. I also have several things I do the same way on each trip. You know things like tent door faces to the southeast, pack gets packed the same way each time, and enjoy making notes on the different taste each lake seems to have. I wonder are you superstitious? Do you always offer the tobacco at the Indina Paintings? Do you respect the wishes that they not be photographed? Just wondered is all! qp

Started my packing ritual last night, meet with my uncle tonight to go over everything.
Pictographs wish to not be photographed hmmm.....I don't think that there were cameras back when they were made ;D
The only thing I do on trips is try to pick a site that gives me a good sunset.
I guess I am not too superstitious, but I do pack my bags the same way every trip, I do that so I know where to find stuff.

Speaking of Packs.
As I solo these days, unless you count my dog, I'm more interested in one tripping, cutting weight to a minimum. I would enjoy learning more about internal frame packs and others such as Grey Jay uses.
Now that I have found my love of solo, it will be tough to give up, however I am fortuanate. At this time I am allowed by the graces more than one trip every sun spin around.
Let's talk about packs if we may. I have much to learn and listening.
Also note, It is neat to cross the same path, and know where you are, explore it again and "feel" home.
