I'm building a canoe trailer! It will hold 4 canoes and have storage. Dr Bob from CCBB gave me great info on how to build these. We found an old free trailer at a garage sale that we are using. The trailer was built sometime in the 50's so it has some fixing up needed as well. As soon as we can get it licensed we will begin its transformation- I'll post pics of it. But for now the greatest hurtle is licensing the trailer because it has no title. Once all the proper forms are filled out it will begin

My canoe trailer is done, although we cut it close. I left for the BW the next morning . I took pics of the progress threw out the proses, however one pic got lost. We were originally going to build a wood canoe trailer, but my husbands friend heard this and offered to weld and I couldn't pass that up. Total cost for parts was 365$. This includes the cost of the new trailer tong, wheel bearings and wheels. We got the trailer itself free from a garage sale. Not included in the cost is the fenders, my hubby gave me those as a gift. OK here is the original pic of the trailer when it had a short tong: The next pic is missing, here we had put on a new tong, new tires and new bearings so just imagine that for a second: The next pic is after the welding was all done. My hubby helped his friend with this because it made for good guy time: Ok here is the tailer with the box I built on it. It is all weired up and ready to go. The only thing left is to paint it but sense it is treated wood I need to wait for it to dry a bit:
