Ok, our 1999 MN II has the skid plates rubbed down to the kevlar and the kevlar behind the front skid plate is frayed fairly bad. Also frayed ahead of the back skid plate. Can I just get a fiberglass car repair kit (cheap) and do the job for a quick fix. I used one of those to repair a bucket seat in the Wenonah with good success. What do it do to smooth out the frayed kevlar or do I not have to do that? Any suggestions.

Yes it gets very nasty especially after the refried beans meal.
