I'm posting this early as I'm hoping to see some photo's on the qp this year of your first snowfall. Be it in Ely or Miami . I thought it would be neat to see who gets the first snowfall this year. Any snow yet in your town yet? Awe the nip is finally in the air in KY. Winter is just around the corner and I can hardly wait. qp

Too late QP.
It snowed Thursday evening and overnight on 10-6 in the BWCAW. I entered for the 4 solos trip Friday morning to about 1/2 an inch of snow on the ground. It lasted pretty much all day on the portages and shaded areas. Don't have a picture I can post-but it has already snowed up in the wilderness.

Yup,
We had flurries that same day, but nothing stuck to the ground. To me it don't count unless it sticks to the ground..... so we had our 1st flurries...... but not our 1st snow in centeral MN.
