So did it tear easily, develop holes? Or just stop shedding water?

Last spring I purchased a 4 man, 2 vestibule nylon tent through an E-bay seller. I believe it is a Sears tent. It was very inexpensive, under $30.00. There are hundreds to choose from on E-bay. The only thing wrong with the blemished one i purchased was some discoloration on one of the vestibules. It holds three easily. I doubt if it will hold up for many years, but so far is doing well and was used about 20 nights last summer. I have gone through quite a few inexpensive nylon tents and just expect to have to replace them every 2-3 years. IC

I also use a Bedrock for family trips. The two vestibles are wonderful, and the tent is actually high enough to stand up in! It weighs only a little bit more than a 4 person Timberline and is much more luxurious. The first time I used it I thought it wouldn't rain at the campground we were using on a Girl Scout trip. Wrong! The left right corner leaked at the seam for the pull-out. I waterproofed it (I hadn't before) and didn't have the problem again. Pam
