Yes K,
This is a very nice Memorial that lists all the Aitkin County service men & women who died in the line of Duty from every war we ever fought. It is amazing & humbling to see the large list of names & then to think this is just one county of Minnesota, with a fairly low population. Millions of service men & women have died to get & keep this country free.

My FRIENDS Think about our troops next Tuesday. Think about 911 and why we are there. Think of the Presidental support they need when you head to the polls. qp

Nephew Luke is headed for Iraq. Kid is a patriot and volunteered. Our prayers, and I hope yours, go with him. We will be supporting him best we can, come election day.

Prayers to you and yours PG. As a father of a US Army 1st Cavalry soldier who has been in Iarq since April I share your concern. I will add your Nephew Luke to our evening prayers.
We have good news about our son. Dan is scheduled for 2 weeks of home leave beginning on November 14 or 15th. Final details still being worked out. It will be so good to see him. The last time we saw him was just after Christmas 2003. It will be almost a year when he finally arrives home again. Unfortuantely at the end of the two weeks he returns to finish his year long (Minimum) tour.

K, Thanks for this post. As active duty military, I can tell you this means a lot to the men and women in service to our Nation, and to the families of those who have unselfishly given so much. Freedom is not free. PG and Bogwalker, I'll keep Luke and Dan in my prayers as well. Best, Sauvage

I did some research awhile back when my Uncle, who you can see a picture of in the Pheasant Hunt trip report story, informed me we had kin that died in the pentagon on 911. I did a search on my last name and there it was in black and white.
Her name was Brenda.
Lest we forget.
