You know after reading Nibi's June/July Trip Report on the CCBB I'm thinking I just might consider With a little help A BWCA Trip next year. WOW! Did qp really say that? I had hoped to see all of the Q before visiting the BWCA but, WOW those photo's were awesome nibi! SO Is this a trip to take later in the fall like mid Sept to avoid the crowds. Or would this route be somewhat of solitude to do during the kids summer break? Many of you may think I know about the BW and I do a little but I'm mostly a Q person. Just looking for some early input on a possible BWCA trip for the qp family next year. qp

I would suggest a direct route to the heart of the BWCA, then you'll know more than all of us put together QP.
Hmmmn. How about a trip from Ely to Grand Marais. Any typos. Hmmn...What about it QP?...Or the other way works as well. Or a ful circle. I'd guess a week should do it, but there would be little lounging time.

And this is why QP, I see and have so much respect fer WW. He see's things I see, and some that I do not.
I suggest a trip, someday an event. Sure the BWJ, holds my respect, but WW, do you have any thoughts on a BWCA spot fer a similar treat?

Every time we go into the BW on the east side we see few crowds. We have gone 4 days without people around. If you want any info on the east just ask ;D I love going in the in July so you can swim

I second WW, if ya go to the BWCAW try to get into the interior. No matter what you do you will see more people, but you can still go a few days with out seeing anyone. Going in the fall will help greatly to reduce crowds. Some good lakes to get to are Amber, Boulder, Adams and get a PMA permit and hit Raven Lake as well as long as your in the area. Easiest entry point would be Kawishiwi Lake (it is about 1.5 hours from Ely).
