I like all the new videos qp. The one at the top of the main board is my favorite. Hard to find footage from the bwca, because a video camera is a lot of extra luggage.

qp,
Do you run any of your video through compression, like Windows media encoder?

I actually start our with my video's in Quicktime, as that is the camera software I use. Usually I'll export them from Quicktime into Window avi files saving them in the highest quality. Usually a 30 second video will be around 100 MB. I'll then use nero or windows movie maker to edit and resize for online posting. The camera we used has editing features and while on our trip we could do some editing in the feild if we chose to. The background music I usually write in a program called Band in a Box. It writes in a midi format which I convert later on to a wave file after I run the midi through another program called Cakewalk. Cakewalk is an awesome program that I'm really just becoming to understand. But basically it allows you to mix, edit, add to, and arrange a total of 256 different tracks in one song. Kind of like having a recording studio on my PC. In total this year I have 8 DVD "32 Gig" in video to go through for editing. On top of than another 1000 or so pics in tiff format. Plus I can pull any tiff pic off any video I choose. Writing the Trip Report this year will be the easy part, the editing will be the time consuming part. These video's I've been posting are just very quick edits I've made just to share some highlights. Nothing like the quality on the next WP magazine.
