hey Wilderness Passages,
I am looking for information about the area or chain of lakes west of Quetico Agnes Lk. If any experts on this board have visited the likes of Trant, Hurlburt, Williams, Woodside, etc and would be willing to discuss campsites, scenery, solitude, large mammal potential, portages, or fishing, please drop me a line either on the board or at: pawnipi@gmail.com.
Great site QP, I can tell it has been a labour of love, congratulations on your hard work and good fortune, --paw

I went into Trant from Kahshahpiwi last Sept. then up to Williams cutting through the creek to Keewatain. Great route. Campsites were slim on Hurlburt only two we found were in the north end. Several picto sites to see. We were elated to find the water up enough, which allowed us to paddle a large portion of the Kahshahpiwi to Trant Portage. I'll look through my notes and post a few things about the area. I also have a 2 1/2 hour DVD of the entire trip. Video of portages, campsites, pictos, and the lakes themself. Heres are the lake we traveled by days. Day 1 PP, Basswood, Burke, North Bay, Soouth, West, Shade, and Grey. Day 2 Grey, Armin, Yum Yum, Kahshahpiwi, Trant, and Hurlburt. Day 3 Hurlburt, Payne, Williams, Keewatin, and Kawnipi. Day 4 Kawnipi, Montgomery, Shelly, Keats, Chatterton, and Mc Dougall. Day 5 Mc Dougall, Eag, Cub, Baird, Metacryst, Cutty and Sark. Day 6 Sark, Keefer, Kahshahpiwi, and McNiece. Day 7 McNiece, Walshe, Yum Yum, Armin, Grey, Shade, West, South, to North Bay. Day 8 North Bay to PP. Looking around on this sight you'll find videos posted on this trip, here is day 1 qpassage.proboards25.com/index.cgi?board=tripsq&action=display&thread=989qp
