Welcome to the Campsite. An area the staff on the qp whom has been discussing for a few months now. We decided that we needed an area where those of us taking family to the woods, and needing advise, that this would offer a good place to ask questions or post to help the others. As most of you know Reddcin is experienced well in this area having a young child they take on they're family camping trips. I agreed with Reddcin, as I think many here will, that it is very important to know and understand the issues at hand taking a youngster into the woods. I think it is also just as important to discuss topics of teaching our children to know and understand the wilderness. Such things as learning no trace camping at an early age can in it's self help on the home front too. If they can learn it as a young child my belief is it will become a habit as they grow older and not be an issue. The experiences one can endure from a child experiencing this are ones we will as adults cherish for a life time. I say adults meaning us now and those as the kids one day turn into adults. So with that I ask you post to help us. Give us your input. Ask that question. The qp is only here for all of us to learn from. qp
