Dang Bannock,
I was hoping for a story of you paddling through the smoke & fire walking accross portages, as you chase that moose armed only with a paddle
On my trip the 1st of Sept. we will try to paddle in close to take some photos, It should be out by then, but should still make for some unique pictures. I've burnned big stumps before, they smolder for weeks.

We had to cancel our Sept. trip up the Gunflint Trail.
My uncle injured his shoulder cutting trees this weekend & would not be able to paddle. We are hopping that he might be recovered enough by the middle of Oct. If so we will do a trip then.
Well it looks like I will be planning on a family camping trip Labor day weekend now. ;D Lemons into Lemonade you know.Woods Walker
