Is the hog creek floatable this time of year? Is there extra portages? Has it ever been impassable? Any tips on Hog creek? Thanks

I hope you get a response with some good information. A friend and I are heading to Perent Lake thru Hog Creek next Thursday.
Happy paddling!

We often used to go in Hog Creek this time of year for fishing and grouse hunting. Creek can get low enough to be a pain, but haven't seen that in a long time. As noted, beaver dams are most serious obstacle. Lake is named for Tom Parent (how'd the spelling get changed? Ask the forest service) who is a long dead relation of mine. Some sign of his homestead is still visible.
