Those warm skin tones... those curves.... that shine....
If I didn't know better... having paddled 'becca on Saturday and taken her off the roof rack just this morning... I would be accusing you of stealing my boat!!!
She's looking good!

Well I will start by thanking QP for posting these pics for me. The style I think is what they call the kootney which I probably butchered the spelling. I have been working thru Beaglefur who is a member on this site and has been a great help in the building of this canoe. Beaglefur has answered every question that I have thrown at him almost before I have asked it he has endless knowledge when it comes to building canoes. I have tossed around building a canoe for 15 years and seeing Nibi's photo's of his canoe is what really kicked me in the butt to go ahead with it. If any of you have ever thought about a project like this all I can say is DO IT NOW it has been fun and quite the learning experence.

That's kootenai (I think). And, if you're building it the same way that Beags built 'becca, it's actually a modified kootenai. Modification is that the forms were set further apart to give it a length of 16'3" w/o changing the maximum width ... a standard kootenai runs about a foot shorter than that. Stretching it that foot makes it a bit more efficient and increases carrying capacity a bit (for those who may be wondering). I'm looking forward to the day we can paddle these "sisters" side by side

My understanding is that the only pics that remain to be added now are those that show the maiden voyage. Outstanding job Satchmoa. She sure is a beauty.
