O2, Great thoughts and words... I just want to add a note here to remember, that once Christ is accepted into your heart and your life... Life does not become easier... decisons concerning life become easier! The desire to do what is right is now a constant part of your life... If you are faced with troubles... I have found that by placing it in the Lord's hands... a solution will come come... may not always be the one you want... but that is where faith comes it, and firm belief. As it says in Jeremiah, 23: 11-13... God knows the plans he has for us... plans to help us when we call upon him in faith and love... God bless all, and I will be praying too...

Bruce Oh i agree, been there done that, thats why i said not to let Satan discourage ya because He loves to pounce on new Christians. Actually the life of a true born again believer may be a very rough road in this world we live in, Christian persecution is getting worse by the day even if it`s as insignificant as friends turning against you. You hit the nail on the head about God being there when times get tough, thats the great thing about trusting Him. We in America tend to be on the spoiled side and ask for things that we don`t really need then get discouraged when God doesn`t answer our prayers. I can tell you from experience that when things get really tough God will be there unless it isn`t in His will. Three years ago my mother got throat cancer, it was so terrible i could not even look at her without breaking down. So one day at home i sat down and prayed to God to remove the sorrow so i could be strong for my mom. I was in more grief than i have ever known as i prayed, all of a sudden the grief and sorrow was lifted off me along with the urge to smoke. I was a two pack a day smoker since i was 12 and i was 47 then. Quiting smoking had not even entered my mind but God new something i didn`t. It took mom a year to die from her cancer and it was horrible but i was there every day talking to her about the Lord and was strong and able. It`s been three years since that prayer and i have never had the urge to smoke and the peace and joy that i know mom is in Heaven now is so wonderful. As bad as it can get in this world if you know Jesus there isn`t anything that can kill your spirit only the flesh. I love the Lord so much.

My thoughts are simple and not proven to be correct, but for me faith took time and could not be rammed down my throat. God gave us the inner knowledge that we belong to his family, deep down inside, but he also gave us the ability to think, the thing that may have cursed us the most and to actauly look in the sky and say "God, proove it!" This is our down fall imo. But somehow I think that this is what God wanted, was for us to bridge the think and faith gap. That is the dif between us fancy animals and the plain ones. But what do I know.

But what do I know. The fact that your seeking is the proof that the Holy Spirit is drawing you or you already have accepted Christ and are born again. Most people want proof before they believe , i just posted about a miracle that happened to me, one of several, how much proof do people need. Christ did all kinds of miracles when He was here and they still doubted Him. The Bible says, how much greater is it for those that have faith without seeing. No pressure bro, let your heart and God lead and all will be fine.

Perhaps God is the Sun...were it not for our unique position in the galaxy related to the Sun, we would have been unable to exist after "God" put us in this Eden world. Without the Sun there would be no life, no weather or rain, no possibility of a beginning. Heat and light trigger and sustain life, both are the Sun. IC

IC Don`t agree, God holds the universe in the span of His hand. God intended the earth to be a Paradise but Adam and Eve blew it ,now what you see is the evidence of a corrupt fallen world the result of that fall. Flesh lives but a short time, the spirit goes on forever. Also the sun can`t resurrect the dead, only God.
